Kickspace
heaters are the space-saving alternative to hot water baseboard. Designed to fit
inconspicuously under a cabinet, in the floor, on or in the wall, kickspace
heaters are ideal for hard to heat areas such as foyers, kitchens, and
bathrooms. Hot Water from the home's boiler is circulated through the kickspace
unit and the fan gently blows heated air into the room. The homeowner simply
selects the fan speed, then the unit turns on and off automatically according to
heating demand.
We make a complete range of models for every heating need, from the smallest foyer to the largest kitchen. Our new Twin-Flo III model offer important enhancements in heating capacity, quiet operation, appearance, and reliability. All models are designed for fast, easy installation with complete factory wiring and standardized connections. Optional kits allow for recessed mounting, and in-floor installation.
Hydronic Unit Heaters

Beacon/Morris Heating Equipment has had broad experience in the manufacture of steam/hot water unit heaters for many years.
Offered in both horizontal and vertical air delivery models, Beacon/Morris unit heaters are a complete heat distributing plant, encased in an attractive, streamlined baked enamel housing. Designed for ceiling mounting, they provide a convenient, low cost method of heating warehouses, stores, factories, and other large open areas.
Beacon/Morris, responding to the requirements of the heating industry has now expanded its unit heater line to one of the most complete in the industry, twenty-three horizontal and fifteen vertical steam/hot water models!
Most Beacon/Morris unit heaters are equipped with totally enclosed motors with internal thermal overload, statically and dynamically balanced fans for quiet operation, and with the installer in mind, we designed a versatile hanging system for easy installation! Beacon/Morris horizontal unit heaters are attractively finished in dark gray jackets with light gray air deflection louvers.
Cabinet Unit Heaters
The Beacon/Morris
cabinet unit heater is the industries most recent design. Years of manufacturing
and engineering experience combined with a concern for appearance have resulted
in a crisply styled unit that will blend with almost any room decor and provide
reliability, durability, individual control and quiet operation.
As unit sizes increases, only the length changes. The depth and height remain
constant, thus allowing the designer to have uniformity or appearance when units
of various sizes are installed in adjacent areas.
The wide selection of floor, wall and ceiling units with a variety of air flow
arrangements allows for exactly matching design requirements.
The standard 16 gauge front panel is gauged enough to withstand harsh treatment.
Exposed cabinet is provided with a prime coat of neutral eggshell baked enamel,
which in many instances can serve as the finish.
The pedestal base for the floor models is painted black and is the height of
most mop boards.
Field repainting to match the decor is possible and factory applied decor colors
are available as an option.
Recessed models are provided with a field installed wall seal that allows for
full or partial recessing depending on the model. The wall seal is also
available as an optional kit for full or partial recessing of most other models.
The solid state speed control provides infinite variations from height to low
speed, giving the occupant finger tip control over fan speed and room
temperature.
Gas Fired Unit Heaters

Beacon-Morris Unit Heaters, offered in both propeller and blower-type models, are a complete heat generating and distributing plant, equipped with automatic controls, and packaged in an attractive streamlined housing. Designed for ceiling mounting, they provide a convenient, low-cost method of heating stores, factories, warehouses and other large open areas comfortably.
The Beacon-Morris Unit Heater becomes the industry standard bearer by providing a winning combination of money saving features and many other customer benefits. Its innovative design provides 80% combustion efficiency without costly equipment modification, or derating. The Beacon-Morris propeller fan, which utilizes a powerful motor, increases airflow through the unit - resulting in approximately 10% more CFM. Summer air circulation for added comfort is featured on all units, with factory installed relay and wiring.

The BEACON-MORRIS Model “BTU” gas-fired unit heater offers a highly efficient, extremely durable alternative to the traditional clam shell design. These propeller type units combine the latest tubular heat exchanger and inshot burner technology with the quality and reliability you have come to know from BEACON-MORRIS. Units are available in sizes 100 to 400 MBH and offer the following features:
High Efficiency
Standard energy saving features like the HSI (hot surface ignition) pilot and power venting reduces standby losses and offers improved seasonal efficiencies. The Model “BTU” unit is certified by AGA and CGA as providing over 80% thermal (combustion) efficiency.
Tubular Heat Exchanger
The BEACON-MORRIS tubular heat exchanger has been designed to provide maximum and uniform heat transfer. The low pressure drop associated with this design enables heated air to be evenly distributed to the conditioned space. This curved, non-welded serpentine design experiences less thermally induced stress making it highly durable for significantly longer service life. All BEACON-MORRIS tubular heat exchangers are constructed of heavy duty 20-gauge aluminized steel.
Hot Surface Pilot Ignition
The BEACON-MORRIS Model “BTU” utilizes a hot surface pilot ignition system which features a ceramic composite hot surface element. This highly reliable and efficient ignition system does not permit pilot gas to flow unless the hot surface element is present and powered. The low voltage hot surface element lights the pilot quickly for fast heat delivery. All wiring is 24 volt with no line voltage present in the burner area.
Venting
The BEACON-MORRIS Model “BTU” unit heater is AGA/CGA certified in accordance with categories I and III venting requirements. Category I enables the unit to be vented vertically with either single or double wall venting material. Category III allows for horizontal venting utilizing single wall venting material. This venting flexibility of the Model “BTU” unit heater makes installation easier and more cost effective by allowing the installer to utilize existing venting components.

Beacon/Morris Convectors are engineered for both forced hot water and two-pipe steam heating system installation with heating elements of lightweight non-ferrous construction. They are available in (7) basic types to meet a wide range of heating applications in institutional buildings, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, schools, apartments and other structures. A variety of cabinet enclosure styles permits the selection of an attractive and functional installation to blend with any building interior — modern or traditional.
Designed for maximum flexibility of installation arrangement, Beacon/Morris Convectors are available in free-standing, semi-recessed, wall hung and fully recessed models. Enclosures are formed from heavy-gauge steel, and finished in prime coat for complete protection against corrosion during shipment and providing a base for final finish to meet architectural requirements after installation.
